Health Benefits of Tapicoa

Tapioca is derived from the cassava plant. It is one of the many plants that manufactures cyanide by producing a chemical called linamarine which releases hydrogen cyanide when it is broken down by the linamarase enzyme.

Spanish researches have been studying the cassava and attempting to clone the genes from the plant which are responsible for producing the hydrogen cyanide and then transfer it to a retrovirus.

    1. I personally don’t think hydrogen cyanide and retrovirus sounds good in the same sentence not good just like seafood being linked to Chlamydia and rare meat being linked to hpv herpes and all other major illness human consumption is the only way and after cross contamination by hands that people get ill

      1. Don’t know how I found your blog, but you are my new BFF! I am a biochemist and love when peolpe see chemistry and apply it to everyday. Thanks for helping peolpe to see its beauty rather than fear it!Cindy Jones
