The Gingivitis is the inflammation of gums due to bad oral hygiene. It is a disease that affects the tissues surrounding teeth and gums. If not treated in time, gingivitis can trigger more serious problems such as periodontitis or bone breakdown and therefore the loss of the tooth.

The use of products based on essential oils helps to treat gingivitis . Make gargle twice a day with a homemade saline solution created by dissolving a pinch of salt in a glass of warm water: it will reduce the swelling of the gums. Gingivitis is caused by irritants. Plaque, bacteria and food particles that accumulate between the gums and teeth. Even drugs, viral infections, hormonal changes during pregnancy and puberty, and some medicines can trigger gingivitis.

Consume large amounts of fruits and foods rich in fiber. People who suffer from vitamin C deficiency have an increased risk of incurring a periodontal disease. Avoid sugar, fruit juice, flour and rice.
